IMA for Young Children: List
PIANO STARTERS (5-6 YRS)
Learn to play piano in this friendly individual or group class, which covers technique, music-reading and performance skills. In our instrument beginner classes, children develop further as musicians, learning the fundamentals of instrumental technique in a fun and encouraging group setting.
In Piano Starters, children will learn fundamental piano technique and how to read and interpret music notation, perform a variety of music as a soloist and as part of the group.
Short weekly practice tasks are set, so children start to build a regular practice routine from the outset, helping them to make enjoyable progress and preparing them for the regular practice needed to master an instrument.
This course offers time and space for real progression. At the end of the course children will have a solid grounding in the instrument and will be ready to move on to paired or individual tuition.
To take part in this course, students will need a piano, digital piano, or keyboard on which to practise, and will need to set aside 10-15 mins each day for practice.

VIOLIN STARTERS (5-6 YRS)
Learn to play violin in this friendly individual or group class, which covers technique, music-reading and performance skills.
In Violin Starters, children will develop confident and secure violin technique, learn how to read and interpret music notation, perform a variety of music as a soloist and as part of the group.
Short weekly practice tasks are set, so children start to build a regular practice routine from the outset, helping them to make enjoyable progress and preparing them for the regular practice needed to master an instrument.
This course offers time and space for real progression. At the end of the course children will have a solid grounding in the instrument and will be ready to move on to paired or individual tuition.
A violin will be required for this course - but please don't order one until we have advised what size to get!
If you wish, you can order one from us when booking and we will supply the correct size after the first lesson.

UKULELE STARTERS (5-6 YRS)
Learn the basics and enjoy playing ukulele in our interactive course for children aged 5 to 6.
Our experienced teacher will provide personalised tuition for each member of this small group, to help each student gain confidence to enjoy playing ukulele on their own and with others!
A ukulele will be required for this course.
IMA for Young Children: Services
GUITAR STARTERS (5-6 YRS)
Learn the basics and enjoy playing guitar in our interactive course for children aged 5 to 6.
Our experienced teacher will provide personalised tuition for each member of this small group, to help each student gain confidence to enjoy playing ukulele on their own and with others!
A guitar will be required for this course.
